in response to the realist... I'm sure most of the people on here are well aware of how or why they are in the situation they are in. They are facing reality every day, and if having faith or believing in a higher power helps them get through rough times then so be it. I do believe in God, and I still believe there are people in a position that can make a difference. Not everyone deserves what they get. God helps everyone, especially the ones who don't believe. There is a difference between tough love and cynicism. Instead of being grateful for getting out of your own situation and offering suggestions or words of encouragement you belittle them. Mocking people and being cruel to them doesn't make you a cold hearted bastard, and it doesn't make you a realist, it just makes you pathetic.
